Is it legal to own a ballistic shield as a civilian?
Yes. Ballistic shields are not regulated as weapons in the Czech Republic or most EU countries; owning one as a civilian is legal.
What is the difference between NIJ III-A and NIJ III?
NIJ III-A covers handgun threats up to .44 Magnum. NIJ III stops rifle rounds including 7.62×51 NATO. For unknown threats we recommend the military shield rated NIJ III.
Can I request the complete test protocols?
An overview of results is available in the test section and on individual product pages. Complete test reports are available exclusively to state armed forces. Contact us to clarify which documents are available.
How long do production and delivery take?
Shields are hand-built in Hradec Králové. Typical production and EU delivery take a few weeks depending on the current queue.
How should I store and maintain the shield?
Store dry, away from direct sunlight. High-alloy steel needs no maintenance and, unlike composite materials, does not age or degrade over time; after a bullet impact have the shield assessed by the manufacturer.
